Our Story

Wirecom India Pvt. Ltd. is an organization built ground up on strong Fundamentals and Belief system where quality is more than a commitment – it’s a way of life. Established in 1985, Wirecom today is one of the leaders in India’s spring, wireform and sheet metal components manufacturing industry and also have been a strong player on the global circuit catering to requirements from leading manufacturers in automotive, commercial, pneumatic & power tools, aeronautics & defence, electrical and switchgear in countries like Spain, Indonesia, Iran, France, Riyadh amongst others.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Wirecom has a factory footprint of 30,000 sq. ft. facility at Vasai – Palghar and Chakan – Pune put together with 100+ futuristic machines with a production capacity of more than 10 Lakh units per day. Wirecom produces more than 10,000 variants of quality springs made to meet the needs of its customers across the globe.

Wirecom an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, IATF 16949:2016 and ZED (Zero Defect. Zero Effect.) Certified company follows very stringent quality management procedures and standards right from receiving the raw materials from reputed companies till the final production is ready for dispatch. Wirecom continuously improves its components performance and design with the help of Skillful Craftsmen in terms of Lifecycle, Efficiency, and Environmental Compatibility which is a measure of its commitment to quality.

Over its journey of more than 3 decades Wirecom boasts of receiving more than 30 Awards and Accolades from the industry as well as its customers for its quality compliances and following best of practices. A Mechanical Engineer and second generation into the business, he has been a major driving force behind making Wirecom India a known player on the World Map today. He is the one behind the idea of setting up the Futuristic manufacturing facility at Chakan – Pune with the idea of being where the customers are, as a result we have established a long history for developing and providing the best of the quality products to Automotive, Industrial, Electrical and Defence industries.

With his Intellectual and Managerial prowess he is all set to reach out to the emerging markets and being competitive in the existing ones in the new globalized economy.

MILESTONES

1985

Established as a proprietary firm on 26th January 1985, with a mechanical spring coiling machine, traditional hand coiling manufacturing unit of 450 Sq. Ft. and employee strength of 8.

1988

Expansion of Business with an import of latest in technology spring coiling machines to increase the production capacity to manufacture quality springs.

1990

Next stage of expansion with setting up a new production facility of 450 sq. ft. and an additional import of spring coiling machines from Switzerland, Germany & Taiwan

1996

Wirecom becomes a Pvt. Ltd. company – Wirecom India Pvt. Ltd.

1999

  • Wirecom India Pvt. Ltd. receives ISO 9002 certification the first in Small Scale Sector in spring manufacturing industry.
  • Becomes a leader in Precision springs.

2000

Recipient of “Certificate of Merit in Small Scale Sector” at the “IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2000” in the presence of Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Mr. Narayan Murthy and Mr. Niraj Bajaj. The award was presented by Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, Director General - Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

2002

  • Wirecom India Pvt. Ltd. received ISO 9001:2000 Certification.
  • Initiated export of springs and wire forms.

2003

  • The GenNext joined Wirecom India Pvt. Ltd. in the form of Executive Director – Mr. Pratik Shah with the vision to expand its presence in the Global Market.
  • Online SPS and length sorting device along with a line of continuous stress relieving furnace was set-up.

2005

Setting up of its own Research and Development Department with the latest of computerized UTM machines, Chatillion load testing machines, profile projector, computerized torsion testing machines and automatic spring setting machines.

2007

  • In-house development of Spiral spring coiling machines
  • Wirecom becomes a proud member of the Institute of Spring Technology –UK
  • Recipient of “Quality Achievement Award” by Bombay Industries Association

2008

  • With world becoming a new marketplace for wirecom, expansion with the latest in CNC spring coiling and wire forming machines was set-up at Vasai - Palghar.
  • Recipient of “The Best in Springs” award by Minda Group of Industries.

2012

“Co-Creation Tier II Award” presented by Mahindra and Mahindra

2013

Recipient of “Leadership in Low Voltage Switchgear in India” Awards By L&T Electrical and Automation

2015

Started operations at Chakan – Pune with a 20,000 Sq. Ft. of Factory with Futuristic Spring Manufacturing and Testing Machines to deliver precision and quality.

2017

Recipient of “Zero Defect Supply Award” by Schneider Electricals Group

2018

  • Recipient of “Zero Defect Supply Award” by Schneider Electricals Group, 2 years in a row.
  • Receipt of ZED – (Zero Defect. Zero Effect.) Certification an initiative by the ministry of SME’s

2019

Setting up quality testing center for springs at its factory in Chakan – Pune by installing the latest Chatillion Larson load testing machines with Rapid eye profile testing machine which is a benchmark in itself.
