At Wirecom, we firmly believe that by engaging in CSR programs, philanthropic initiatives and volunteer endeavors, we can contribute to society’s betterment while simultaneously enhancing our business prospects. These CSR activities play a pivotal role in fostering stronger relationships among employees, suppliers, customers, service providers and organizations. They not only elevate morale but also facilitate a deeper connection with the world we inhabit.

Through strategic partnerships, we dedicate ourselves to giving back to the society. Our commitment extends to generating positive impacts that resonate within our organization and reverberate throughout the surrounding community. 

As part of the CSR initiative to promote the importance of education, wirecom has associated with Shravikashram (Gujarat), Jain Education and Empowerment initiative by JITO and Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), Wirecom’s contribution to these organisations in past 3 years have ensured that children’s of various ages have gained the power of knowledge.

HUMAN RIGHTS

At Wirecom, we are resolute in our stance against any form of unethical labor practices. This includes a steadfast prohibition of child labor, forced labor and any exploitative employment of young individuals. Human trafficking is unequivocally condemned within our operations. To foster a culture of transparency and accountability, we have established a comprehensive whistle-blower policy.

We unequivocally reject any form of slavery, as well as the utilization of forced, bonded or child labor throughout our supply chain. Furthermore, we are committed to fostering a work environment that upholds safety and inclusivity, ensuring that unlawful discrimination and harassment find no place within our organization.

Our commitment extends to fair employment practices, where we stand firm against any form of discrimination in recruitment and employment based on attributes such as race, religion, gender, age, physical abilities, political beliefs, social or ethnic background and sexual orientation.

  • Educational Contribution – Embracing the belief that education empowers individuals to forge a sustainable livelihood, Wirecom has formed partnerships with various associations dedicated to facilitating higher education opportunities for students in need. Our active engagement in supporting education and learning stands as our contribution to society. Additionally, we are dedicated to projects centered around education and water conservation.
  • Promoting Social Welfare – Wirecom has consistently been at the forefront of aiding communities in the wake of disasters and natural calamities. Collaborating with NGOs, we have extended support to those affected by events such as the Kutch Earthquake and the Floods in Kerala. Our commitment also extends to our brave soldiers, as we contributed during the Phulwama attacks. Moreover, Wirecom played its part by providing essential sustenance and shelter to migrant workers during the COVID-19 lockdown.

  • Skills Development – Over the span of 8 years, Wirecom has forged partnerships with various institutions, playing a vital role in providing in-plant training to more than 200 students, enhancing their skills in plant management and process lines. Notable among these institutions are:

  • ITI College, Vasai, Palghar

  • We meticulously evaluate employees’ skills at regular intervals, offering requisite training to enhance their capabilities. Our commitment to skill development is evident in the training provided to numerous unskilled employees.
  • Women Empowerment – We take pride in fostering a culture of gender diversity, where women are assuming key leadership roles. With a vision extending to 2027, our goal is to raise the representation of women employees to 30%.
  • Employment for Specially Challenged Individuals – At Wirecom, we recognize the significance of dignified livelihoods for every individual. In this endeavor, we have made meaningful contributions by providing employment opportunities for specially challenged individuals, facilitating their journey to a respectable means of sustenance

ENVIRONMENT

Wirecom actively conserves energy through the implementation of a sensor-based lighting system that effectively manages illumination across both office and factory spaces. These, among numerous other initiatives, reflect our commitment to cultivating a sustainable future.

 

Our dedication to environmental responsibility is steadfast. We rigorously adhere to and comply with all relevant environmental laws within their respective countries or jurisdictions. Our commitment extends to initiatives that foster heightened environmental consciousness, including waste management strategies that encompass waste control during operations, water and electricity usage, and proper disposal. To achieve this, we prioritize employee education and stakeholder awareness through comprehensive training, visual management systems, and the integration of energy-efficient equipment.

 

Furthermore, we are resolute in reducing greenhouse gases and other detrimental emissions that pose harm to the environment, including carbon emissions. We proactively monitor air quality through ambient and stack monitoring practices.

 

To preserve non-renewable natural resources like water, we have adopted a multi-pronged approach. This includes in-house measures for water conservation, rainwater harvesting and driving awareness campaigns among our employees, vendors and suppliers.

Wirecom remains dedicated to optimizing the use of both natural resources and energy to minimize waste. As part of our eco-conscious practices, we employ outdated books, records, newspapers and stationary materials as cushioning material by shredding them. This approach replaces environmentally harmful alternatives such as bubble wraps.
